Hope's Story

Life I became a mother at the age of 18 1/2, and at that time I realized that I was living to support 2 people. My boyfriend and I married shortly after our son was born, but we only stayed happily married for 8 months. I found myself raising a son and trying to go to college. I decided to put my education on hold for a while so I could support Bailey. I worked as an in-home nanny for a year and a half before I made the sacrifice of making less money to go back to college. My husband and I divorced in Oct 2002, and I was finally able to let go of my past and figure out just who I was. I have since found a goal in life...to graduate college with honors, holding 3 AS degrees in Financial Services, Accounting Technology, and Business Administration. ice (it REALLY works, you guys!!), I met the love of my life, and we got married on April 17, 2004. He is a real daddy to my son, and Bailey even calls him daddy over his biological father. I hope to own my own business in 5 years. We are determined to keep Bailey in a private school for at least 7 years so he can get the foundation he needs to succeed in life with the right morals and standards, living according to the ways of Christ. We are currently saving money to buy a home together, and intend on having another child soon. College I have one year left before I graduate with 3 AS degrees. I was inducted into the Honor Society (alpha theta kappa: aplha xi eta chapter) in the fall of 2003, and received recognition on the Dean's list and an award for "Who's who among college students".
