horace's Story

My life's story (the short version). After graduation, I went to Manchester College and graduated 1963. Taught high school for 4 years in Middletown, Ohio. Then, went to work for Armco Steel in Middletown. During the 14 years that I was at Armco, got married and had 2 children, earned MBA, became a certified public accountant and transferred to an Armco unit in Dallas, Texas. Left Armco in 1981 and went out on my own as CPA. I have been practicing as a CPA ever since. My 2 children are in education. My daughter, Mindy is an elementary teacher and lives about 40 miles away from my wife, Linda, and me. She and Thomas have 2 children, Lauren and Jake. My son, David, is head foo...Expand for more
tball coach at a 5A high school near Houston. He and Emily have 2 boys, Brooks and Bobby Jett. Linda and I live on a large lake, Lake Texoma. It is about 90 miles north of Dallas. We can look across the lake and see Oklahoma. I have a sailboat that doesn't get used as much as I'd like. We are Episcopalian and attend church regularly. I have made a few visits to White's in the intervening years, most recently in 2007 and 2009 (the 50th anniversary of my graduation). Cecil Perry was there and we had a very nice visit. Well, that's about it. Please tell me what you've been doing. And, I would be pleased to strike up an ongoing conversation with you. God bless, Horace Wilkinson '59
