Workplace
I've been a practicing attorney since July 2004. I am a partner in the law firm of Mantese Honigman Rossman and Williamson, P.C., with offices in Troy, Michigan. We specialize in business law, but we also have a family law department; we represent individuals and families with autism and other disabilities; and we represent various educational companies including charter school service providers. A large part of our work involves representing owners of businesses in disputes with their co-owners -- for example, in disputes where two or three owners of a business are freezing another owner out of the com...Expand for more
pany. I also help individuals and groups of people form new businesses, and I write up agreements that lay out everyone's rights and responsibilities as far as the new business's operations are concerned.
Our firm website is at manteselaw dot com. If anyone viewing this page finds themselves in need of legal advice, I would be happy to sit down with you and discuss your situation at no charge. If my firm can't help you out, I probably know a reputable attorney who can. Legal issues can be stressful, and it helps to have someone you know and can trust to advise you or point you in the right direction. Before I became a lawyer, I hated feeling like I was at the mercy of anyone who could use the legal system against me, and I'm sure I was taken advantage of on a few occasions. One of my favorite things about being a lawyer is that it's much harder for that to happen now, and I can help to make sure that other people don't get taken advantage of either.
If you're reading this, thanks for stopping by to see what became of me. You could say that life hasn't turned out quite as I expected, but I don't think it ever does, really, and it seems to have worked out well enough for me so far. I hope your own path has been mostly enjoyable and that you've ended up happy with the way your life has turned out.
Best,
Ian Williamson
