Ira's Story
Hi Everyone,
I lived at 89 Fairview Avenue near the 7th Avenue IRT subway tunnel on Broadway..
After graduating from PS 152 in 1948 I attended JHS 52 until the middle of 8th grade. My family then moved to New Rochelle where I remained until 11th grade.
We then moved to Los Angeles California where I graduated from John Marshall High School in LA.
I attended UCLA both undergraduate and graduate obtaining a Ph.D. In Psychology in 1964. I have been in the practice of Clinical Psychology over the years and still maintain a part-time practice in Beverly Hills.

ave a been married more than once and have 4 children- 2 daughters 2 sons.
I enjoy travel, music and sports.
After rooting for the baseball and football Giants, Knicks and Rangers as a youth in NYC I later became a Dodger, Lakers and Rams follower.
Of course I am a UCLA Bruin Alum and fan. The great Kareem Abdul Jabbar, formerly Lew Alcindor, a UCLA and Laker great grew up in the housing projects on Nagle Avenue in Inwood!
I will always have very warm memories of attending 152.and am proud to call myself a New Yorker despite being away for close to 70 years.
