Irene's Story
Life
I have two young ladies. Heather Marie age 13 and Samantha Michelle age 10. We live in Rahway NJ and have a dog named Lady and two cats. One we call Socks and the other is called Gizmo. Socks was given to us by a co-worker of mine at work, Gizmo I had since she was about 3 days old. I found her mother and her in my pick up truck. I assumed the kitten was the only surviving offspring of "this" litter. She was about an inch long and "Momma" was starved and skiddish. Once we got her to trust that she was in "safe hands" she allowed us to handle her and her baby, and still nursed and cleaned her baby as often as necessary. I was completely taken back considering "Nature's law" that I thought I knew all along. Either way, we took care of the Mother cat as long as we could, then we got rid of her. She was just too much for the other animals we had.
My girls went to private school last year in hopes that it would help us in our parenting efforts. Yeah, ok. Fortunatel...Expand for more
y they learned enough at the other school that when they went back to public school this year, they have a whole new perspective on behavior, academics and social responsibility. I am very proud of them. They also have a daily habit of praising God. THAT helps me sleep at night.
I have so much more to say to the person who decides to look at my bio a bit closer, since I only have about 2000 characters left, I'd rather not try to capsulize!
I am not an "Orthodox Chrisitian" in the strict biblical sense, but I do pray all the time, attend church regularly, and try to better understand God's will in every day of my life. Especially the parts that make the least sense, because that is when he is working the hardest to accomplish his will and teach me something, answer one of my prayers or grant one of my requests for my life, my family or my loved ones. I have been blessed with more than I can possibly write down, and have been right where God needed me on several occasions.
