After graduation I went to work for the City of Portland in the Auditors Department and worked there for six years. While working for the City I took a vacation for my 21st birthday. I went to the Phillippines where my brother was stationed. From there I went to Hong Kong, Tokyo, and Portlands' sister-city Sapporo, Japan. I had a pen pal in Sapporo who I was able to meet. k for SP&S RR in 1966. In 1968 I remarried to a soldier who was stationed in Vietnam, he came home in May 1969. We had two children, a boy and a girl. Our son was born in Boise, ID, and our daughter was born at Fort Riley Kansas. My husband retired from the Army in 1976 and we came back to Oregon. Both kids went through school here in Prineville. All four of my grandchildren have gone to school in Prineville also. My husband passed away in June 2011.
