Jack Clark's Story
I was born (1941) and raised in Indianapolis. My Indiana schooling included Perry Twp. Jr. High School (1953-55), Manual High School (1955-58), and Indiana University (IU). I received my BS (1962) and MBA (1964), both from IU. I was a US Army paratrooper 1964-66, and spent my last year doing easy duty at Fort Benjamin Harrison in Indianapolis. 66-69). Then, I was a finance professor at the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, in Philadelphia, 1970-1975. I was also a Federal Reserve Economist during 1974-75, to help support a wife and 2 babies. In 1976 I took my current position as a Professor of Economics and Finance at Bernard Baruch College in New York City. Teaching does not take all of my time. I authored and co-authored 22 finance books and dozens of scholarly papers about economics and finance. Sometimes I work as an expert witness or do consulting. I am divorced and live in Stamford, Connecticut.
