My life has been a meandering saga. Born in Fort Worth, but never lived there. A small town south of there, Joshua, was briefly home before moving to Denton,TX. My father an assistant county agent, next moved to Breckenridge, NO! Texas. We seemed to always find pretty good football teams. Emory Ballard was coach in Breckenridge. He later assisted at t.u. (Texas University) and later at Texas A&M while I was in school there. From Breckenridge we moved to Wichita Falls, TX where my father began working in the Chamber of Commerce. We left there for Dumas, TX where I became a little "Imp" as the high school was call the "Dumas Demons". .A guy named Mike Williams wrote a song of Dumas once in reference to the town's name as "Dumb Ass, Texas" but he was only driving through. From there we went north to Omaha, Nebraska. High School football wasn't much but the "Huskers" always have fielded a pretty good team. I spent a lot o...Expand for more
