Life is great.
After high school, I earned AAS in marketing and then put myself through school to earn a BA in English. I've been with the same company for several years, where I work in financial services marketing (I have a few securities licenses and became a CLU,ChFC...financial designations). I LOVE most of the aspects of my job.
The late 80s through the early 90s were the best of times, although there were some hard lessons along the way. Generally, I look back at those years and the friends I shared them with fondly. I don't know how it went by so fast. What a blast!
In 1992, I joined the company where I am still employed. I manage a marketing department for a finanical planning organization. I also earned my CLU,ChFC - that's alphabet soup for "I know a lot 'o stuff about financial planning." My first love is writing - and finance facinates me. So I am perfectly fit for my chosen career.
In 1994 I met my husband. I was lucky enough to marry a fantastic and highly talented man who, somehow, puts up with me.In 2001, we were thrilled to have a son. T...Expand for more
his beautiful child, with all his charm and innocence, has given a new, even more powerful meaning to life. In 2005, we welcomed a second, beautiful boy.
In 2008, I wrote and published my first book, "Son of a Dog."
In my "spare" time, I run a philanthropic, company that raises money and awareness for animal rescue organizations. Animal advocacy is close to my heart. We have two retired, rescued Greyhounds and a brood - or should I say "pride?" - of cats. (I'll add here that we are neat/cleaning freaks.)
My sense of humor has certainly come in handy throughout the years and I'm grateful for everything that life has given me and for (most of) my memories.
To my long lost friends, I miss you all. To anyone I may have wronged, I hope you have forgiven me. My wish is that anyone reading this is happy and healthy and is where he or she wants to be.
