Life
Got married in 1972. While working for a trucking company in Ft. Smith got an offer to move to Quincy in 1979 as manager for their terminal here. Had a son at that time and had a daughter in 1981. Everything going good until 1991 when my son was stricken with leukemia in Aug and he died on Feb. 6th 1992. This has been the hardest thing a person has to go through. eatment everyday. Never goes away, just gets easier to live with.
Still living in Quincy. Daughter now married and teaching school in Hannibal, Mo. Daughter had a Grandson Last Nov. Also took a vacation adn traveled to Israel for a week. Was really great. Plan to retire in May. Looking forward to being able to not having to set an alarm clock. Want to play a lot of golf, catch up on some reading I have let slide and travel when I am able.
