James's Story
Life
Have two great sons, Trevor graduate of Michigan State(webmaster of all of Michigan State University), and Sacha (he is an Electrical Engineer and Graduate of GMI, now called Kettering University), their wives Melissa and Amy. Wife Brenda Wakefield Barnes(June 22,1968, class of Everett 1964. Became grandparents for the first time January 6, 2009 to twin grand daughters, Hayden and Ashton(Sacha and Amy).
School
Played football my Sophomore year. Ran track, indoor and outdoor. Helped to run WEHS Viking Radio all 3 years. Enjoyed it very much...Expand for more
. Worked with Mr.Berdan, a great teacher and mentor and speech and forensics teacher and coach. One of the many bright spots at Everett. I kept in contact with him over many years. He still teaches at the University level in North Carolina, before that it was University of Maryland. These were Universities that much deserved his many talents.
Military
Chief of Firing Battery for 8-inch self propelled howitzers for 6 years in Lansing, MI 1966-72. I enjoyed it. I could lay 4 guns in under 8 minutes and ready to fire up to 17 miles away. HA!
