James's Story
Life
I have been a teacher, banker, hairstylist, and more over the past 30 years! I got involved in the theatrical wardrobe business 7 years ago with the San Francisco Opera. After 2 years as the Wardrobe Assistant at American Conservatory Theater in SF, I worked several Broadway shows with a 10 month stint on "The Lion King."
December 15, 2004 I moved back to Deerfield Beach, FL to be closer and more available to my 84 year old mother who still lives on her own. I lasted there 2 1/2 years, but I couldn't stand living again in ...Expand for more

I loved San Francisco where I lived for 11 years. My adult niece and nephew are the ones that talked me into relocating there from Southern California. I now have 2 great-nieces and 2 great-nephews.
I moved back in June 2007, found an apartment in August, returned to wardrobe work through Local #784 at the S.F. Opera and Cirque du Soleil's "Kooza."
It has been a long bumpy ride to where I am now. I hope to hear from some of you folks from my past. Lots to tell!
