James's Story
Life
Still married to Carol Fisk since 1977. I can be contacted directly using jgbennett56 (at) hot mail (dot) com. We have two sons, born in 88 and 91. In July 2006, we moved from Hacienda Heights, CA, to Highlands Ranch, CO after living my whole life in Los Angeles county.
School
My favorite teacher was Mr. Hawkins for my Electronics classes. He was an important part in starting my 40+ years in the electronics industry.
Maybe if my A.D.D. and depression had been diagnosed and treated back then, I would have enjoyed my high school years more and gotten better grades. The one good thing was finding my wife in high school.
College

.D.D. and working full-time were not a good combination for doing much at El Camino in the evenings... A college degree would probably not have made any difference in my career.
Workplace
I gave up a 27 year career at Yamaha Electronics in California to move my family to Colorado. I miss my Yamaha co-workers very much, but I don't miss California.
On February 9, 2018, I took early retirement shortly after turning 62. I don't miss having a job for an instant!
Military
The draft ended just as my draft number came up low. I had already started my career and had no interest in joining the military. I have no regrets about not joining the military.
