James's Story

Skipping past my pre-school years, things started in the Pittsburgh area where I attended St. Bernard School, then to Philadelphia (St Dorothy, Cardinal O'Hara HS), and then on to Dallas (Jesuit HS and Univ. of Dallas). After surviving all that book-learning, I began my real education at the "school-of-hard-knocks" and began a career in Human Resources & Labor Relations, which took me across the country and back again. First, around several cities in Texas, then back to the northeast in NJ and MA. The next move was to KS, where life changed "big time" in a wonderful way - I got married (Kris), and we began a family (two boys). ...Expand for more
More moves took us to WA, then back east again to MS, and finally to the Nashville area where we put a stake in the ground and retired. My calendar is now filled with Church outreach ministry activity, endless home improvement projects and too little hobby time. Over the years, personal interests included dramatics in HS and college, and almost anything electro-mechanical ranging from model trains and R/C boats, to the care-and-feeding of finicky British sports cars. Somehow, dabbling in genealogy, late 19th century history, music (classical and "boomer generation"), jogging, scuba and veggie gardening crept in along the way.
