James's Story

Life I have 6 children including one step daughter and four granddaughters and two grandsons. Spent one tour in Viet Nam while in the army. I moved to Nevada approx 65 miles out of Las Vegas in 1993 and worked as a engineer at one of the state line casinos. Before moving to nevada i was a general contractor in the provo Ut. area from 1975 to 1993. I am now residing in the beautiful country of the Philippines. I moved here in 2002 and love the people and the country.. it is referred to as the country of many smiles. I love the tropical climate and I get lots of swimming and fishing in. I try to make a yearly visit back to the USA when I can so as to visit family and friends there.. I have a banana plantation now so we send lots of bananas to Japan, I also have a piggery and we raise and sell approx 600-800 pigs a year. We just opened a purified water station on Feb 8, 2007 and our business is really expanding now as more and more people are learning to drink the purfied water here as compared to the regular water which in most cases is loaded with bacteria. so with all my small businesses here I keep busy well actually my help keeps busy I just lend a helping hand every now and then. Update... the Phoenix Va would not operate and give me a new hip... they came up with all kinds of excuses not to do it. So I will have to get it done here in the Philippines and pay for it myself. My do...Expand for more
ctors here told me they didnt want to operate because of my heart... they wanted me to get that fixed first...so I am waiting again to see what my heart doctor says.... I spent Feb 9-13 in the hospital with congestive heart failure. they said my heart is so weak it can not produce enough blood so the excess water was going into my lungs making it hard for me to breath, so they gave me shots and pills ect to drain the water.. even now i have to take these pill and yes I keep draining water. but at least I can breath now., Went back in the hospital april 6-8 for Congestive Heart failure and again april 23-25 for gallbladder and was told I need to have it out so will see what happens as my heart doctor says fix the heart first so now im having a fight with the doctor and i think i will win in the long run if not I will get a new doctor Well spent two weeks in ICU aug 13-27 had my gall bladder taken out and ended up with lots of infections, in my lungs stomach ect and then again my heart had a lot to play in all of this.. but I made it thru it all and im back home and feeling a little better.. so now maybe i will make it a few more years.. UPDATE: Well just got out of the hospital again for congestive heart failure and high sugar, the VA helps me in all of this as I am a 100% disabled and now I am house bound and require help getting around. But all in all Im doing good for the fix im in.
