James's Story
It would be so neat to connect with classmates from class of 1958. I was the skinny kid from Naugatuck, Ct. At the novitiate I took the name Anselm but I left in February, joined the Air Force, spent 3 years in Scotland, and got married. After discharge I joined a bank which became Bank of Boston. Stayed there for 33 years, retired as VP, Senior Trust Officer, became CEO of a Community Foundation for 7 years and retired for good. I'm now 74 and live in Torrington, Ct in the Summer and Ft Myers, Fl the rest of the year. I'm on my third wife and very comfortable as a very involved Epis...Expand for more
copalian. I often look at the website for the Society of the Atonement. I don't know if any classmates made it all the way. It doesn't 't seemed that anyone did. Another classmate of ours was Walter Gadomski. He had left the monastery a couple weeks before me. We joined the Air Force together but lost tract of each other after basic. I ran into a brother of his a few years ago and unfortunately, Walter had died a month earlier. I assume that the priests we knew in the 50's have gone to their eternal reward but I remember them fondly. I would love to hear from others.
