James's Story
Life
I graduated from Stronghurst High School in 1966. I went to WIU in Macomb where I received a BA and an MA in English. I taught English in Bushnell and Alexis, Illinois. I married Joyce Gardner from Santa Barbara, California in 1976. We have three grown children. Jeffrey and Jeremy are twins (22) and Sarah is 25. I worked for GAB Business Services from 1978 to 1988. Coos Bay, Oregon in 1983. We have owned the same house in Coos Bay since 1984. I taught at the local community college from 1993 to 1995. I owned my own company from 1988 to 2000. I went back to school to work on a second masters degree in special education. I now teach SPED. My wife is an RN. I am happy. While I am a Presbyterian elder, my own beliefs tend to be more Pagan and even Buddhist.
