James's Story
Life
Since graduation, to the best of my recollection, I lived and worked in Philly. Dodged the Draft. Married Barb Coles and two years later we divorced. I moved to Buffalo in 1974 for Graduate School to train as a Psychotherapist. I met and fell in love with Laurie. We moved to the San Francisco Bay area in 1976, married in 79 and had our first child, Jessica in 80 and Kathryn in 84. We have travelled in the Carribean, SouthWest USA, Hawaii, loads of California, and this past summer in Europe.
I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Laurie is a Clinical Psychologist. I have worked in goverment agencies, Private Practice and taught grad students. My work has been primaril...Expand for more
y with addicts and alcoholics, crooks and cons. Made a career change to work with small children. Enjoy hiking, biking, traveling, and out of body experiences.
My priorities are love, family, service and spirituality. The most important parts of my life have been loving Laurie. Making children and staying at home part time to raise them is second. We are now being a family of mostly adult like, but still child like. We four share our abundance with others. The family are Observant Jews and I partake as a goyum could. I found my higher power in a room of others like me.
We live in Berkeley and in the past month we have attended 3 Warrior games and a Raider game. Great sports town.
