James's Story
Let's see what is there to tell? After High School I moved to North Dakota and went to Trinity Bible College for a couple of years. I returned home after a few years and worked at my home town church then joined the Army. I did my basic training at Fort Jackson, SC and then my Advanced Individual Training there as well. I graduated from AIT in April of 89 then promptly moved to Germany. Oh yeah, I got married in there too...December of '88 to Andrea. We have been married for 20 Years now. We lived in Germany for 3 years and helped out at a small church there. I served 6 months in Desert Storm. After living in Germany we moved to Louisiana and lived there for two years. My son Nathan was born there, he is 15 right now and is taking drivers training. I left active duty in 93 and joined the National Guard and served in it at various duty stations for 7 ...Expand for more
years for a total of 12 years military service. Currently I am residing in Gladwin, MI and work for Alltel as a technician building and maintaining cellular telephone sites. I have been in this position for 12 years. My daughter Allison was born in Mount Pleasant, MI in '96, she is 11. My wife Andrea is a High School teacher teaching German and Spanish. She is also teaching at Delta College political science and a German class.
Over the years I developed a love for cycling and became a very competetive bicycle racer specializing in Time Trials. I have raced all over Michigan and have completed many bicycle tours of this great state. I was the race team director for Tri-City Cyclists racing team for two years. I have since retired from racing but have not lost my love for cycling.
