James's Story
Let's Face it, life is a Book.
I left RNE after the sophomore year to attend SV. After the junior year there, I joined the Army. I was stationed 2 years at Fort Sill, OK and about the only thing I did there was continue my education.
I returned to Columbia, actually Elgin, where my mother and step dad were owners of a yogurt shop. I married sometime later only to find that I was not ready.
In '83/'84 I moved to Charlotte, NC and remarried in '90. Immediately afterwards I moved to Morganton, NC and lived there until '06. Unbelievably, I found myself on the road to being single again.
I had planned to move back to Columbia but somehow a job in Mt. Pleasant fell within a 50 m...Expand for more
ile radius of Columbia on Monster.com. Of course I knew better but I thought since I was relocating anyway, why not? I submitted a resume and was almost immediately invited for an interview that very day. A month later, I am living in Mt Pleasant.
After two years of legal separation, I finally got the divorce.
I have met some wonderful people here in Charleston and in Columbia areas. Actually I have been very fortunate to meet all kinds of good people during my life. And in most cases, I recall, they have added value to my life.
Any who, looking back and after rereading what I have written already, I may not be cut out for marriage but I have had a good life with no regrets.
