James's Story
Life
Hi there. I am 26 years old and single......I know that I marked "Single and Loving it", but I intend to make marital progress by meeting that special someone in the near future, perhaps when I am about to complete Pharmacy School, and to get it right once and only once, so that I(we) can prove that Golden Anniversaries can in fact exist in today's world within our generation, considering all the challenges and temptations that currently exist. My family still lives close, and I see them regularly. Hope to hear from someone via e-mail, phone, etc. Take care.
College
I attended the University of Central Oklahoma between 1998 and 2002, majoring in Chemistry/Health Sciences. Since I was accepted for admission to pharmacy school in the Spring of 2001, I do not have my degree from UCO yet, but I am currently attending the University of Oklahoma College of Pharmacy (the cirriculum is rigorous but rewarding). It is hard to believe that I'm about to finish pharmacy school. I want to practice pharmacy in either Oklahoma or a South/Southwest state other than Oklahoma. I finish in June 2006.
Workplace
Working as a pharmacy intern in a retail setting requires concentration and patience. Taking new prescriptions over the phone, counseling patients, and answering patient questions are a few duties that a pharmacy intern can perform. There are times in which problems are difficult to solve; but there isn't one that is impossible. Challenges make the job interesting and are a fact of life within a pharmacy. I am grateful to be working in a pharmacy setting of some sort since November 2000 since it is a job in my field of study. If anyone might be in town during the school year (2005-2006), drop by the OU Health Sciences Center (College of Pharmacy) and I will try to say hi!! Or at least leave a message. I am currently in my final year of pharmacy school. My expected graduation date is June 2006.
