Jimmie's Story

If I have any advice to give to anyone, It would be this, Live your life not for yourself, but for those around you. Your not going to be remembered for what you did for you, but what you did for others. We are reaching a critical point in our lives, as we have spent the years out in the world, not a single one of us is the same, as much as we'd like to believe we are. We all have Responsibilities to the others around us, Whether it be our wife, husbands, Children, significant other, job, or even a pet (you know who you are). We no longer look to someone else for our needs. For those who have balanced it all perfectly, I salute you. It's much harder in todays world than many let on. and to some the strength of family and friends is all there is to keep going. I am constantly reminded when I look at the faces of my children, how frail, and innocent we all once were, and whatever guidance we had has led us down the roads we are on. We make choices in our lives based on how we feel about a situation, how we perceive it should be. But truthfully are we doing what is right. If we took the time to think about the feelings of those around us before we made a decision, i think maybe we could see the situation a little differen...Expand for more
tly. The world I remember from when I was in school seemed so much different than the world I see now, and despite how I perceive things now, I know I have to keep on living it. But I want to do it right. The past year has been the first since high school that I've had a moment to think, and I see a different story every time I open the pages to my life. The truth is, your the only one that can write your life story, Why not make it a good one. one based on the merits that I have instilled in others around me. Your not going to be telling your life story after your gone, Everyone who knew you is. The question is, Are people going to want to listen to it? I would love to talk to all those who remember me, and all those I remember. Time goes by so fast, and I sure would like to talk to those people that made me who I am today. I miss sitting on the steps in front of the auditorium every morning, acting like an idiot, drawing a crowd. It was so much fun, and though many people told me "Enjoy those years, there the best of your life." My goal in life is to prove to myself they were wrong. I'm looking forward to the next 10, and making them the next best 10 of my life. and I hope to have the same goal in 10 years PEACE OUT
