james's Story
I'm back working as a teacher in a mental health facility in Texas. I teach horticulture, toolbox for recovery in the center, and on an all male admission psych unit teach recovery and life skills. I have been working with the adult population on and off for 20+ years since 1979. I am a gator from the U of F, and most of my family still live there. daughter from another marriage who lives in Florida, and am proud to say all very sound individuals.
I like to play chess, pool, golf and pardon the pun, gardening which keeps me grounded.
I am still learning and growing, I am a good listener which aids me in my profession of choice. I can relate well with just about anyone, empathy is a product of being a good listener. I have come to understand my faults as being human thus promoting my best asset of communication, learning from all I meet.
