Jan's Story
Let's see. After high school I spent 5 years in collage getting a degree in pharmacy. (Yes, at that time it was standard to go to collage for 5 yrs to get a bachelor's degree in pharmacy). I practiced in and around the Charleston/Mattoon area for around 6 years, the last 3 at Sarah Bush. I married George (Dave) Watson (class of '77) in 1990 and moved to the Olney area practicing at Richland Memorial Hospital for 9 years. We lived on 5 acreas b/t Olney and Noble with 3 dogs, 2 cats, a rabbit, various inside fish and a pond full of catfish, bluegill and bass.
In 2001 Dave and I separated and finally divorced in 2004. I have been living in the Quad Cities (Moline at the moment). I retired from Pharmacy in 2005 due to health problems.

r loosing a lung to her forth tumor(she never smoked). My father sucommed to a very, very rare form of Lymphoma in April of 2008. My mom is battling glaucoma. She sold the family home last year and moved into a condo. for my mom it was the best form of therapy, interior decorating. So now I commute alot b/t the Quad cities and Charleston. Well that is about it for now.
Be well.
Update 2012: After a lot of commuting and more and more health issues (both mine and my mom's) I moved back to Charleston. After a hospital stay in Feb of 2011 things have calmed down. I have lost about 150 lbs and still have a long way to go. Unfortunately my mother's eyesight and dementia have become heartbreaking but she is hanging in there. So far she still manages to travel to Florida for 4 months every year. Great visiting!
