Jan's Story
Life
I am married to Brian Maher, a long time resident of Las Vegas. I moved to Las Vegas in 2001 following our marriage. We have no children, but last year we hosted an exchange student from Sweden for his entire Senior year of high school. It was such an enjoyable experience that we are hosting another student - this time from Italy. We also have 2 cats, a dog (our "Jack Russell Terriorist") and 2 desert tortoises.
We love to entertain and have parties as often as possible. We also enjoy boating and riding ATVs.

Prior to my legal career I worked in the environmental industry for eleven years, most recently as Environmental Manager for a semi-conductor manufacturing facility in Puyallup, Washington. My first career was in advertising sales. I presently co-own a real estate appraisal company in Las Vegas along with my husband, Brian.
I was raised in Seattle, Washington and attended the University of Washington, graduating in May of 2000. I received my Juris Doctorate from the William S. Boyd School of Law at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas in May 2005.
I am an active member of the Executive Board of Directors for the Sunrise Children's Foundation, and heads up its ÂSunny Tales Program to encourage reading among children in our community.
