Jan's Story
After high school, I attended ITT Technical Institute and received an Associates Degree in Computer Aided Drafting & Design. I worked in Nashville for about 9 months after ITT and then moved to Cookeville, Tn and attended Tennessee Tech University. Since then I have been working in the automotive industry. I currently live in Smyrna, TN and have been working in Murfreesboro, TN for the last 4 years.
I always wanted to be a architect when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a great idea. As it turns out, they were right, but I persued Engineering instead.
After college I moved to Bowling Green, KY for a couple of years while working at AMAK Brake. I missed home, family and friends so I moved back to Hendersonville, TN. I moved to Murfreesboro, TN about 8 years ago and have ...Expand for more
been in that area ever since.
I have a cat named Gnash and miniature long-haired daschund named Odie. They are my kids. I love attending hockey games and watching the Predators.
The wierdest job I ever had was when I was in high school and worked at the Cookie Store in Rivergate Mall during the off-season of Opryland. It blows my mind how many people would purchase 3 large chocolate chip cookies and a large diet coke - as if they cancel each other out - ya know it was just for the taste of it.
My oldest friend was Kim Smith. She lived next door to us from about the time I was 3 up until we graduated high school.
My first job was at Opryland, where I got paid minimum wage to work in the games. What I remember most about it is the numberous friends that I made and the great times we had.
