Jane's Story
Life
Life has been good. I have been married for 44 years and haven't killed him yet tho I've come close.
I have two living and one deceased (at age 7) sons and 6 and 1/4 granchildren -- five boys and one girl and one unknown. Since my boys married late in life, the GC are ages 1 - 9. A joy.
I am fortunate in living in the same house I grew up in (after age 10), which is right on the LI Sound in Darien, CT.
I have worked three days a week for the past 20 or so years as an estate paralegal for a local (Stamford, CT) law firm and I love it. Can't imagine retiring.
I have become a jock...Expand for more
in my later years: hiking (just did a 4,800 footer in NH last summer alone, except for my 2 yr. old ger. shep.), biking, walking, swimming, sailing (not so much, as I creak when I move), kayaking -- well, you get the picture. I live to play.
Somehow the older I get the less time I have and the more things I want to accomplish. If only I could be cloned or live in all those parallel universes they talk about . . .
By and large, I have found that everything that has happened in my life has been for the best -- and that's a good attitude.
