Janet's Story
I wanted to be an airline stewardess or work for the airlines in any capacity. Instead, I spent the last 40+ years in the medical field....doing everything except nursing. I have held every other position including the top as Administrator of 5 free standing medical clinics with 250 specialists and 50 family practice or internal medicine docs. The position I've loved most was Human Resources and Credentialling of the physicians. When I graduated, I went to a school that had a job placement for me in Washington, DC with the CIA. Wow....imagine what I might have missed! I'm still in the medical field but working down the ladder with almost the same salary with no responsibility except to do a good job, no on call 24/7, no beepers, etc. enjoying what life presents me with and very little stress......which was the purpose in moving down the ladder. I'm a very organized multi task person, therefore I'm never sitting idle.
I enjoy reading and walking when my knees allow it and I prefer listening to music vs television. Once I retire I'll probably start knitting again or helping my granddaughter learn how. I have 4 grandchildren. Only 1 granddaughter.
