Life
Guess I missed this before. Started attending Pickstown in 1954. Graduated from PHS in '60. graduated from SSTC in Springfield, SD with a teaching degree. Taught in Pickstown 64-65 and again from '66-'69. Husband Cal also taught in Pickstown and was principal there for one year. Taught in Springfield '70-75. Worked in then owned a bar/steakhouse in Tabor, SD for several years. Moved to TX in 1985. Moved out in the country on 12 acres in Jan. of ...Expand for more
'99 and raised exotic and rare birds--peafowl, chickens, ducks, emus, geese, pheasants and a mini horse for a few years. Have 3 sons, Jeff, Greg, and Terry. 4 grandsons, 1 granddaughter and 2 great granddaughters. We had been foster parents to 49 abused and neglected children over a period of 22 years. Jeff and Greg and their wives live out here on the property by me and Terry lives in Longview. I'm sad to say that Cal passed away in December of 2012.
