Better late than never huh? Yikes! Workplace I had the usual small jobs while going to College. Then I managed a security guard company in Columbus Ohio for a few years. The owner retired and sold the company so after that I started working as an Asst. Mgr. at a Pizza Hut delivery unit in Columbus. I transferred through them back home to the Pekin Pizza Hut. I worked with a few people from school there too. Didn't like the food industry so I got out of that fairly quickly. I worked in the Auditing office at Sears in the Pekin Mall for several years and then went on to my job of 17 years at Bemis Company in Peoria. I started in the Accounting dept. and worked my way up to Human Resource Manager. Corporate waltzed in last April and announced out of the blue that they were closing the doors on our location. Not a good thing. So, me and 245 other people were suddenly out of a job. That's where the 'going back to school' comes in to play! I've had several HR offers, but I think I'm going to go ahead and get my degree first and see where that takes me! I really miss everyone that I worked with, it was a great bunch of people. A lot of us are still keeping in touch too which is terrific. But it's been a very sad time in all of our lives. We were like one big family there.
