My latest update is that I am finally divorced as of Nov 21 '09, after like 13 yrs of being separated, yay! Don't have any kids of my own, just my nieces. I'm closest to the youngest one & love spending time with her. She loves to just be with me no matter what we do together. She's kind of like the daughter I never had.
I love fishing & can spend hours doing so even if I don't catch anything.
2012
My mom after being in a nursing home with Alzheimer's for 2 & half yrs (went into one in just shortly after the 40th school reunion we had) passed away in Dec 2011. I still live with my dad & my (our) almost 3 yr old German Shepherd.
To add to my top story about my niece, she's the one in my pic above which was taken about 4-5 yrs ago (time flies) & now she's like taller than me at 12 yrs old. I feel short next to her now. I don't get to spend as much time with her anymore as she has other interests. My oldest niece who's 22 just left for her mission, so will be gone for 18 mths.

My dad is not doing so well anymore as he has cancer which is slowly spreading...Expand for more
. He went into hospital at beginning of January & is still in hospital & might not be coming home anymore as he needs too much care now. His mind is still fairly good but his body is feeling the effects. We shall have to wait & see what's next.
April 2013
My dad passed away last month in March. All he wanted to do especially the last week or two beforehand was to die & be with his wife, our mom & he finally got his wish. They are now back together again.
July 2014
This was another year of loss as I had to put our dog to sleep in July as she had bladder cancer. She was only 5. I'm just glad it didn't happen the year before, as I dont think I would have been able to handle both my Dad & the dog in one year.
After a few weeks I did get another GS puppy that was almost 4 months old when I brought her home. I was used to having a dog around & I held out for as long as I could (about 5 weeks), as it was getting a little lonely without one. She will be 4 this year (2018).
June 2017
I now work from home which is great. No more fighting daily traffic or buying fast food for lunch.
