Janet Fountain's Story

Hello everyone, Although I never attended Belle Chasse High School, many of my old friends did. This is the reason for signing the roster. I apologize if I have offened anyone by doing so. I'm married to a twin who were adopted together. Jerry is a retired Chief Warrant Officer 4 from the ARMY of thirty (30) years. He has 5 biological grown children, 3 adopted grown children and is a step father to my children. I had five children. I lost my twin sons Jonah and Joshua the day before Easter, April 13, 1974. Then I lost my youngest son, Norman Gene, III on Oct. 7, 2001 on Pioneer Peak Mountain, Palmer, AK. I suffered a major stroke two weeks later. It took four years to fully recover. My husband and I live in Eagle River, Alaska. We have a business called Taylor Services. I'm in the process of opening two more businesses. The first, is to sell my copyright protected wildlife photogrpahy. The second, to open a ceramics business here in Eagle River. I am a published author, with two more non-fiction books coming out in late 2011. My cookbook is called, "Cookin Cajun in the Bush." My mother named the book for me. When looking for a title she asked if the interior of Alaska was nicknamed "the bush?" I said yes. So, the cookbook was named. My books are published by Xlibris Publishers and can be bought through me. My mother passed away June 25th, 2005. Those who knew her will dearly miss her inculding myself. My younger brother Ricky has mother's old cell phone number. I really look forward when I call him. My education is vast. I'm a committed lifetime student. I attended Tyler Junior College, LSU, Phillips Junior College, TULANE University and University of Alaska Anchorage. I enjoy Arts and Science and Liberal Arts. Forensic and Arceaological Anthropology are so fascinating to the point, that, I can't let it alone. So, I decided to try my carreer at it. I am always finding things on the beaches from southeast Alaska to the eastern continental seaboard of the United States. My hobbies are comedy, dog sledding, fishing, ice fishing, hunting, down hill or cross country skiing, baseball, swimming,...Expand for more
horse back riding, long walks, gourmet cooking or hot dogs and chilli, camping, getting together with friends, traveling the globe, volunteer help (soup kitchens, etc for the needy and homeless), supporting volunteer projects (Coats For The Needy and Homeless), taking one of my two boats out and capture nature in the raw, playing with my three cats (Schatzi, Daisey Mae, and Weepy Willow. Daisey and Willow are Norwegian Forest Cats. Schatzi is a cantancorous black cat. My number one hobby though is playing with my grandchildren when I travel the world to see them!!!!!!!AWESOME!! My daughter, Mrs. Michelle Baker Hardouin, is the head of 6th grade Special Education at Belle Chasse Academy. This is on the Naval Base in Belle Chasse, LA. My eldest son is an Electrical Engineer and owns his own company in Texas. It is called East Texas Automation. If you have ever seen a movie where they walk in the door and press a code in a security pad and the tv comes up out of the floor or the drapes opene...well, this is just some of what he does. He specializes in home theatres also and the most recent...on demand heating systems. I enjoy photographing Eagles, Humpback Whales, Puffins, Sea Lions, Orcas, Moose, Caribou, Deer, other Alaskan animals and fishing in action. My love for music carries the 50's-90's easy rock and country music. I am really hoping to hear from old school mates. If anyone has seen Donna James, Kathy Graves, Linda Font or Janet Soileau from Istrouma High School or Pat and Herman Becker from Belle Chasse High School or Petti Coley from River Oaks Academy, please ask them to get in touch with me. I would just like to make contact with all of my old friends and see how they are doing. I spend much of my time writing books. I am a published author and am beginning to place many of my Alaskan raw animal photos out on the market for sale Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take But, by he moments that take our breath away. Remember, our greatest assests are our families and friends. Take care, May GOD Bless you and yours; God Bless America love and light. Janet Fountain Taylor
