Janet's Story
Life
After High School graduation and a try at some college, I decided to get married. In July 1972 I married Larry May from Sedalia, Missouri. We contuined to live in Sedalia for a few years before moving to Grain Valley, Mo. I think we lived there just a few months before buying a house in Blue Spring. We lived in Blue Springs for the remainder of our marriage until April of 1979. At that point I moved to Olathe Kansas and have been here ever since. I worked for a bookkeeping company for several years before starting one of my own. I primarly did books for service stations. the past. I took a job (my first "real job") at Carter Petrolium Company and stayed there for about 5 years. I lost my mom in Dec of 1992. Dad remained in their home in Wichita, Kansas until his first heart attack in 1997. At that point he came to Olathe to live with me and has been here ever since. Up until this past year he had been getting along very well. He turned 89 years young in 2007 and no longer is able to drive (although he thinks he still can). I spend most of my time now taking orders from him. :) I was never blessed with children however there has always been dogs in my life. At current I have 4 Pekingese. They are all just a "little" spoiled but GREAT company for dad.
