Janette's Story
Attended TJA from 72-82. In 83 went to Forest Lake Academy. Dec of 83 I moved to Texas, attended Chisholm Trail Academy, graduated and married in 84. Came back to FL. in Jan 85', had my daughter in October 85'. My husband passed away in April of 87' from Cancer. After working for the Tampa Police Dept. for nearly 9 yrs 85-93, we moved to south GA to be near my mom, whom everyone should remember.
Stayed single 13 yrs, working for a county/gov't agency, worked in construction for nearly a year, all the while working on various entrepreneurial projects. In 2000, I remarried, still in south Georgia, moving a little closer to Tallahassee, FL, worked for 3 yrs at the local Sheriff's office and in 2005 was encouraged to start my own business, which I did, October 05, hence, quitting t...Expand for more
he sheriff's office job. Then, after 13 yrs married God has other plans and led me down a different path and I was divorced in 2012, and back to my maiden name.
All the while I've kept running my business, going well and loving it. Then, after 9 yrs of working from home, it was time to reach out for a job where I could mingle with people. I found myself back in law enforcement at the local police department. I've been at the police dept. 3 yrs and as it were, the Lord has made way for my business to move forward, now in its 11th year in business.
My daughter, Summer, is grown now (30) and I have two beautiful grandsons. They live nearby.
I'm writing a book and working on a few other projects. Love traveling, photography, writing the outdoors and spending time with my family.
