Janice's Story
Someone wrote of me in my high school yearbook that I was "Oceans of pep with a laugh on every wave" I never did find out who wrote it even being on the yearbook staff myself. Anyway whoever did, you got it right. I was the first girl to join the Macomber Band. The director said I needed at least one other girl and I found Mary Coon. (thank you Mary I have had a lot of fun in my life. I danced on stage with the Boxtops, I have gone to a nudist resort and my husband nicknamed me squeeky because he made me giggle so much I squeeked. I have done a lot of things as far as career. I worked at Lion Store during highschool and then for Craftmaster(paint by number). I was made dept foreman at 19. I helped in the creation of paint by number on velvet and used to dip all of the styrofoam fruit for the sequined fruit. (Oh yeah, you remember it was all the rage in the mid 60's.) I went to Davis Junior College and worked...Expand for more
at Bargain City. My son was born in 1969 and I got married in 1974 (yes I was one of those) I went to Lourdes College when I was 30 and decided I loved it. After I graduated from there I went on to University of Toledo and graduated in 1981. I was a sub for Washington Local Schools and taught at the Museum til I moved to AZ in 1984. I went to work for a AZ bank when I moved here that has since become Chase til 1997.. I also worked in investments for a while, but I have also worked in a jewelry store, sold Rvs, worked on the US Censu, managed a mobile home park, worked at a call center for the local electric company, worked on elections and volunteer at the library. I am not currently working however it's almost time for the next census. I spend most of my time, reading, playing computer games on Pogo and playing with my dog.
I love living in AZ with the majestic sunsets and mountains just outside my window.
