Janice's Story
Life
After leaving SVA, I went on to SMC and graduated with a BS in nursing. I moved to Kettering Ohio and began working in the cardiac stepdown unit at Kettering Medical Center. I worked there from '75 to '83 when I received a back injury after lifting a heavy patient from which I have never really recovered. I married in '77 and have a daughter who is 21 at the present time and is attending Miami U. in Oxford, Ohio and is a senior history major- but after just returning from a safari to Kenya with her class has now decided to go into Veterinary medicine.

ulltime volunteer with my daughter's old high school (Bellbrook) band - 6 time National Champion's - as a nurse, travel consultant and administrative asst. to the directors. I have 146 kids - and love every minute of it - I have been doing this for the past 8 yrs. and it is really rewarding and something I enjoy immensely.
I spend a lot of time in Florida as we have a vacation home there - so that is my fun and relaxation and change of pace from "Ohio".
But I miss Virginia terribly and the gorgeous Blue Ridge Mountains or the mountains of Tennessee - my second home.
