Janice Tillmon:  

Life Life after high school has been pretty interesting. When I think about it, I really never image what my life would be like once I entered the "real world". I have had my share of ups and downs, but all in all I have a good life. I'm the first woman from my mother’s side of the family to graduate high school and the only person on either side of my families to graduate from college. These are milestones I'm most proud of accomplishing. Attending college was an adventure that has leaded me to where I am now. As an undergraduate I interned in City Council President Pro-Tem Maryann Mahaffey's Office. I continued my education to receive my graduate degree. And now I'm a City Planner with the City of Detroit, City Planning Commission that specializes in Social Policy Issues. There are parts of my work that I really love, like my interaction with Community Organizations in Detroit. There are times at work that I have a lot social interactions with people.
