Jay's Story
When I left SMS I visited Charlie Leighton from St. Peter's (remember him???) for a week then went off to be a camp counselor in NC where I learned to shag !!! Then to the Univ. of Fla for a year only to leave and study in Italy. Would you believe I ran into Jean Thomas in a square I Florence ? Returned to NYC to work for ALITALIA in order to use the language. I'm a Southerner (if you recall the yearbook) so moved to Atlanta where my best friend lived. Was married and had a son, Chuck Sease. Got a divorce when he was 3 and remarried when he was 4. (wasn't very good at it, I guess!) That didn't last either. He was a lawyer. (Think that could have anything to do with it?)
Then signed on with SABENA (Belgian airline) where I remained until retirement. Started out as ticket agent (the girl who couldn't do math !!) and was promoted to Sales Rep with a driving territory. se pollution, I moved to the beach. Have been living here 15 years and have taken a couple of interesting trips such as 2½ mo. cruise to Australia and New Zealand. We anchored off Pitcairn Island coming and going. Read McCullough's book on The Panama Canal which made it even more fascinating. My son followed his best friend into the sheriff's dept. in Flagler County, Fla. and was killed in the line of duty 10 years ago. His best friend also died 8 years ago. Chuck was a newlywed, so no grandchildren. He was the center of my life and a truly nice person. My brother died 3 years ago of esophageal cancer so I set up a memorial fund in his name at the Thompson Center in Knoxville as they are the pioneer organization for this disease. That leaves me as the last one of my family still standing. I got my inheritance (grandfather) and moved into a 3b/2b house in Seasons, Murrells Inlet, Sc. Call 843-215-9733 or visit, classmates !!! Would love to see you. Love, Jay
