Hey About time for an update. 5 years since I first posted and a million miles later. Sean and I are still in Toronto but contemplate a move to New Zealand. I am pining for a boat and he wants the sun. Maybe in 2010. I love Toronto and welcome any and all guests from the "old days". Fun here - gay friendly and lots of action. Haven't gone broke yet - still banging nails.It's winter now (Dec 24th,2008) and we are up to our asses in snow. Still it's nothing like shovelling the driveway in Riverdale at minus 40. We will be in Whitehorse in mid january 2009 -- Sean is helping shoot a feature there and I'll be wandering the streets hoping to spot a familiar and friendly face. Jay More >>> [2010 update] Hey everyone ............ We did it - moved to New Zealand this spring (April) and now live on a small island 35 minutes away from Auckland called Waiheke. August 13 now and damn cold and wet. Maybe we miscalculated a bit and should have gone to Australia. No worries summer is fast approaching. Partner/husband is at the uni in Auckland and I am setting up a small wood shop. Like to work about three days a week and boat the other four. It's a great country -- can understand about half of what their saying with the accents and it doesn't help being half deaf from power tools either. Nice people friendly and shy -- kinda like me !! Plan to build a house here if we don't move to Australia !! Watching property values soften a bit and waiting to buy in. Figure I have about two or three houses left in me. In good shape once the back joints warm up in the morning. Still enjoy the odd vintage car --- lots of British classics in New Zealand. Also enjoy a good spot of Rye whiskey now and then -- hard to find here. Maybe I had better make a still ! Would welcome any and all correspondence. Aren't there any more gay folk out there.
