Jean's Story
After graduating from Howard, I attended Mitchell College in New London, CT graduating in the executive secretarial program in '63. Upon graduation from Mitchell, I worked there as the Admissions Secretary for 5 years and loved it. The birth of my son ended that part of my working life. Later on I did temporary work as well as being a church secretary for a a few years. (I decided to be a stay at home Mom.) In l962 I met the love of my life and we were married in 1965. This union has produced a son and a daughter and five grandkids. I love traveling and meeting new peoples and cultures. n it has been to visit them in their homes and seeing them behave as they did with us. They truly became part of the family. In 1990 my husband and I renewed our vows in a museum chapel in Norway! What a fabulous experience and I feel Norway is my second home country. We are now living in Denver, PA which is in Lancaster County and we love being in farm country with the Amish & Mennonite buggies yet close to the attractions the county has to offer. There is an added bonus in that our two children live about 30 minutes from us but in different directions in the county. I look forward to seeing all of you at the Howard Reunion in 2011!
