Jeannie's Story
I worked in aerospace for a while, married and got a bonus kid in the deal, then had 2 more. I went back to school and got my degree in science and animal health, worked for a private veterinary practice for many years, then needed a change, did animal control in san diego for a while, then moved back in 2004 to work for a humane society. Now I am a hospital operations manager for a vet hospital. I became a grandma and I have 10 grandkids! I had the opportunity to visit New Orleans, after hurricane Katrina and stayed thru hurricane Rita, to help with the rescue effort, if you are interested in seeing the pictures I took while there, check out my facebook page. I am having a hard time believing that so much time has passed since high school...I stayed in east county after graduation, and ran into a few people from school when my kids were playing sports with their kids, but pretty much just got busy with raising them. Their father passed away when they were small and it has...Expand for more
been a challenging opportunity for growth raising them by myself. When I think of high school I remember people that were good friends, April Rudder, Cecil Labonville and Bobby Gibbs just to name a few. I came back to the area just before covid and had planned on living in my RV a few months just to find the right place. 5 years later, I'm still a full time RVer but stationary living next-door to my youngest son's house. I sold the motorhome for a super nice travel trailer and it's perfect for me. It's pretty nice seeing those grandkids grow up. My daughter and her family are in Oregon so I make the trip to see them at least once a year. That amazing bonus kid of mine never strayed far from Imperial beach and has 3 beautiful daughters of his own
Life has been interesting, but it's always been what you make of it. There are so many things you can do with lemons. Lemonade, margaritas, lemon bars...
I have joined this thing again and will keep an eye out for class activities.
