Jeff's Story
Life
Since you may remember me as Emmet in our senior play, Take Her, She`s Mine, I`ve earned two bachelor`s and two master`s degrees. I`m a registered nurse, have taught nursing at the university level, work now at Burke Rehabilitation Hospital in White Plains, NY as a spinal cord injury nurse and am certified by the International Organization of Multiple Sclerosis Nurses (IOMSN) as one of approximately 600 nurses worldwide who are Multiple Sclerosis certified nurses. I am also certified as a rehabilitation nurse (CRRN) through the Association of Rehabilitation Nurses (ARN). In 2001, I retired from the active army reserve after 22 years of service. I retired at the rank of major. Participated in training missions providing medical support in Central America while I was in the reserves. I have a wife and two children, both of whom are college graduates and my daughter, Gillian, is a master`s prepared social worker dealing with clients with substance abuse issues and my son David, recently married, is the IT coordinator for the Dept of Geology and Geophysics at Yale University. My wife, Lynn, is the clinical nurse coordinatorl for the GI lab at Greenwich Hospital in Connecticut. I`ve been an active member of the Royal Scottish Country Dance Society in New Haven, Ct for the past 21 years and yes, that`s me, in full dress kilt....Hey, does anyone know the whereabout...Expand for more

College
I was at Hillsdale College in Michigan for two years, 1964-66, and was one of the charter members of Phi Sigma Epsilon fraternity when it was recognized by the national. I went to the University of Illinois during my junior year but got too involved with the Phi Sigs there. So I spent more time getting drunk and partying and not enough time on my academics so I couldn`t stay there. So I wound up going to Iona College in New Rochelle, NY, was there on academic probation the first semester but buckled down there and made Dean`s List that semester. Lost a year`s worth of credits but wound up graduating there with a BA in history in `69. I should have graduated in`68. I then became a professional student, I guess, where in 9 years at NYU, I earned two master`s degrees, one in early childhood education, the other in nursing administration, and I also earned a second bachelor`s, this one for nursing. Oh, yeah, and I also worked part time and full time while I was at NYU. But the Phi Sigs have never left my heart or soul in all that time.....LOL
