Jeff's Story
Life
Hi everyone! I am now living in Champaign, Illinois. I served in the Air Force from 1988, until 1993. I am not married because of the fact that I am gay. Unfortunately I am also HIV+. I found out on June 14, 1999. Please, if you send a note, don't say "I am sorry, how are you doing". Suffice it to say, I am doing very well and am leading a normal life. I am taking my meds as per doctors instructions and don't expect to have any symptoms for another 10 to 15 years. So long as the meds keep working properly that is. I know there are some folks out there that won't want anything to do with me after they read this. I will not hold any grudges for that. To each his own. I have found other friends throughout my life who take me for who I am as a person, and I cherish them. A phrase from a Whitney Houston song sums up my situation best. "It's not right, but it's okay. I'm going to make it anyway." Hope to hear from you. Jeff

get my mind off of what was getting me anxious/angry.
I love the Olympics. Can't sit and watch regular sports unless I am with a group of people. There are too many Reality shows nowadays, and they are not very realistic. I prefer any movie with a Sci-Fi or Comic book story line.
My best friend would tell you I'm very friendly and loyal, but people who don't know me very well would probably describe me as stuck-up.
Scott Budde and I met at West. I joined the Concert Choir when Mrs. Bohman was in the hospital. I don't know what it was that made us such good friends, but I will treasure that always.
My first job was at McDonalds, where I got paid , I don't remember how much to make the food and serve the customers. What I remember most about it is the smell of grease in my clothes and hair at the end of the day..
Diving into the pool at West when there was no one else around. I hit the bottom of the pool at the corner where the swim area drops off into the diving area. Broke my nose. LOL
