jeff's Story
After graduating in 1975, I attended Mercer County Comm College for 3 years (yikes!), the extra year because I switched majors (Architecture Technology to Engineering Technology). With my AAS in Eng Tech, I got a job in 1978 Aug at Mobil Technical Institute in Pennington NJ (3 mos, Engineering Aide), then Inductotherm Corp, in Rancocas NJ (Sep 78 to Mar 80, Draftsman) then Hill Refrigeration in Ewing NJ (Mar 80 to Apr 80, Draftsman), then Power Generators in Ewing (Apr 80 to Jun 80, Draftsman), then Ferag, Inc., Bristol PA (Sep 80 to Aug 83, Draftsman and mechanical design engineer apprentice ). Left the work force and attended Temple University in Phila PA (Sep 83 to Jun 86), BS in Engineering (summa cum laude); received a graduate school fellowship and attended Rutgers University School of Aero...Expand for more
space Engineering and graduated with MS in Aerospace Engineering in 1988, and Ph.D in Jan 1990. Hired on at GE Astrospace in Mar 1990 as Senior Guidance, Navigation, and Control (GN&C) Engineer , located in Valley Forge PA; GE Astrospace sold to Martin Marietta (MM) in 1992 and MM joined with Lockheed in 1994 becoming Lockheed Martin. Transferred to Nassau Park site in Lawrenceville NJ in 1992, then back to VF site in 1995, and finally to Moorestown site in 1996, and still there. I am a LM Fellow, and work on ballistic missile defense (BMD) programs designing missile guidance and fire control algorithms for Navy Aegis Cruisers and Destroyers. At Astrospace in worked on GN&C designs for NASA civil satellite programs, GPS satellites, and commercial programs such as Telstar. I happilied married in 1999
