JEFFERY HIGDON:  

Jeffery currently lives in Rockford Illinois and has been married for almost 40 years to Karen Anne Lonergan, a graduate of Boylan High School in Rockford, IL. Karen and Jeffery have 2 children, Christopher, a graduate of Guilford High School in Rockford, IL and Emily, a graduate of Auburn High School in Rockford and a veteran of the US Marine Corps. They also the grandparents of one grandson. Jeffery's schools include Jefferson High School (Rockford, IL), John Nelson Elementary School (Rockford, IL), Riverdahl Elementary School (Rockford, IL), Bellamy Middle School (Westover AFB, MA), Greenwood Middle School (Goldsboro, NC), Bitburg Elementary School (Bitburg AFB, Germany), Lt. Elmer J. McMahon Elementary School (Holyoke, MA), Morris Kennedy Middle School (Rockford, IL). Jeffery later attended Freed-Hardeman University (Henderson TN; Bible/Theology), Freed-“Hardeman University (Henderson, TN; Communications-Broadcasting), Rock Valley College (Rockford, IL; Majors: Physical Education, Education; Minor: Journalism). Jeffery was active at WFHC-FM, 91-FIVE as Sport Director and two years as Program Director. In 1992 he was awarded the Broadcasting Student of the year award at FHU. Jeffery has worked as an Assistant Manager at the Jackson Sun Newspaper (Jackson, TN), as a Senior Master Control Operator at WBBJ, TV-7 (Jackson, TN); Engineering Technician at WTVO TV-17, (Rockford, IL) and a Master Control Operator at WREX TV-13 (Rockford, IL).
