The majority of us who graduated from EHS were also "grads" of Walter French JHS...I certainly fit into that group and in the late 70's I had a unique experience; that being hired by Lansing Schools as a reading consultant/teacher at WF...Mr. Harlow (PE and Coaching) along with John Cook (PE and eventually Principal at EHS) were responsible for pulling the strings to get Clyde Carnegie to hire me...what a trip to walk in the first day and see Mr. Antuck (art), Mrs. Adamski (science), Mr. Astolos (band) and Mr. Harlow still working there...they all insisted that I call them by their first names; something I could quite never bring myself to do during my one year stint at WF...what a flood of memories just being in the hallways and classrooms after not entering the school for over 18 years...the same cafeteria where Mrs. Fisher (wife of AP Gary Fisher) ruled with an iron thumb...best cafeteria memory for me was the homemade Tapioca pudding the cooks made each day...the main office where Fisher, MS.
