Jennie's Story

Reading, knitting, traveling, spending time with dear friends are activities that I enjoy. The wildest thing I did in high school is something I don't remember. I was a goody-two-shoes, I think. The biggest surprises in my life have been the end of my marriage and the loss of my beloved son-in-law. From my two daughters I have learned in the past few years that I wasn't a great mother, but they still love me very much. Can't ask for more than that since we can't go back. The one teacher I would most like to revisit is Mary Vinson, my 5th and 6th grade teacher. She pushed me ahead when I needed to be and was very patient with my indionsyncracies. s, travel and charity. My current age is 68. When I was 12, I thought that people my age now would be decrepit or dead. I was so completely wrong. My first crush was three years older than I and has been gone for a number of years. He never knew that I thought he was wonderful. I attempt dressing my age without looking like an old woman. I share my home with no one, which I find somewhat reassuring that I can. I have metamorphosed into a brave woman who manages to take on problems I never dreamed I would have to. In 10 years, I hope to be still in this live. I'm going to get there by taking care of myself and keeping my sense of humor. I hope that old friends and acquaintances will always think of me as interested in them and funny and kind.
