Jennifer's Story
Life
After graduating from Ohio University, I moved to Dallas, Texas to go to graduate school. My husband and I met in graduate school and were married in Dallas in 1992. After finishing graduate school we moved to San Diego, California in 1996. Our son was born in 1998. Although far from home, you can't beat the weather in San Diego!
Workplace
After completing my graduate degree in 1995, my husband and I moved to San Diego in ...Expand for more
1996. I spent 3 years doing a post-doctoral fellowship at the Scripps Research Institute, during which time my son was born. I decided to leave the research side of science and take a job in a biotech company that provides products for scientific research. I help other researchers with their technical problems and do various types of technical writing. I like the work and it allows me to have regular hours to spend more time at home.
