Jennifer's Story

Life Hi everyone. Things are sure different since High School. After graduation, I attended Temple University, graduated with a Bachelor's in Criminal Justice. Then, went back to my home state of NY briefly, where I met the man I have been with for the past 8 years. We lived in PA for a while, but he was offered a promotion/transfer to Houston, Texas. So, we have been in Houston for a while now. But, I still fly back to PA occassionally, since my family still lives there. When in PA, I can usually be found with my mom in Pottstown. I do not work, and spend most of my time either online or in the pool, not to mention the occassional weekend to visit the Louisiana Riverboat Casinos. We love to travel, especially if it involves an airplane and a beach. I have no kids of my own, but the proud aunt of a baby boy who will be a big brother soon, as well as a set of girl/boy twins. All of whom I love to spoil. School I came into school as the new kid in 11th grade. That was difficult, but there was 1 person who I clicked with immediately, Amanda Pahl. After becoming instant friends, we caused our fair share of trouble. We didnt share too many classes, but spent a lot of time together outside of school. Some of my fondest memories involve many of the "near misses" we experienced while cutting classes, whether it was being caught by a teacher, and even once my dad. We are still friends today, although keep in contact mostly via email due to my move to Houston. College College was amazing. I absolutely loved Temple University. I graduated in 4 years there with a Bache...Expand for more
lor's Degree in Criminal Justice, and a minor in Psychology (only 4 credits away from a double major). College really is where lifetime memories are made. I lived on campus all 4 years, until graduation. I was able to maintain a high GPA throughout my years there, without having to sacrifice any partying either. I worked part time throughout school, and had fun at the frat parties on the weekends. I would not change one bit of the experience. Workplace I began working at 16 years old, throughout high school and college, in retail, most of the time 2 jobs. I really liked it, and after college, I continued in this field, eventually gaining enough experience to become a store manager. I thought about how to use my degree in the field, and had thoughts about working in the loss prevention aspect at the corporate level. I looked into it, decided it was not for me, and continued in retail management. Now, I have had my fill with working, and enjoy my days free. I live in Houston now, and am considering getting a part time job during our cold season (i.e. when the pool is not open). My mom owns a deli, and I frequently return about twice a year for a couple of months at a time. I enjoy the interaction with her customers, and also help with all of the operational aspects, such as talking with vendors, updating menus, making the staff's schedule, etc. I am considering a move back to PA where I will assist in opening up a 2nd location of the deli, under my ownership. I am still considering law school, possibly in the near future, but for now, I am content at home, poolside.
