Life Mike and I were introduced in September of 1993 by Jay Markiewitz. We started dating a couple of weeks later. Our first "official date" was in New York City were we walked around for hours. We bought our house and moved in together on April 1, 1994. After moving to Florida in August of 1996, we found ourselves back in NJ in time for Thanksgiving. It was a long time in coming but we became engaged in October of 1998. We wanted to have a two year engagement so we scheduled our wedding date for October 21, 2000. In January of 2000 we found ourselves unable to pay for a wedding due to other financial obligations, so we had to postpone until January 13, 2001. Three months made a world of difference. On October 31, 2000 we found out that we were pregnant. On Thanksgiving, we made the announcement to my family and on Christmas, we made the announcement to Mike’s family. We were married on January 13, 2001 as scheduled. A week later we had an ultrasound and found out that we were having a boy. We went directly to our parent’s to let them know. After a smooth pregnancy, I had an easy labor and semi-difficult delivery (an hour and a half of pushing with a nurse getting on top of me to push him the rest of the way out) which produced a healthy, happy nine pound baby boy on June 29, 2001.
