Jennifer's Story
Life
Mike and I were introduced in September of 1993 by Jay Markiewitz. We started dating a couple of weeks later. Our first "official date" was in New York City were we walked around for hours. We bought our house and moved in together on April 1, 1994. After moving to Florida in August of 1996, we found ourselves back in NJ in time for Thanksgiving.
It was a long time in coming but we became engaged in October of 1998. We wanted to have a two year engagement so we scheduled our wedding date for October 21, 2000. In January of 2000 we found ourselves unable to pay for a wedding due to other financial obligations, so we had to postpone until January 13, 2001. Three months made a world of difference.
On October 31, 2000 we found out that we were pregnant. On Thanksgiving, we made the announcement to my family and on Christmas, we made the announcement to MikeÂs family.
We were married on January 13, 2001 as scheduled. A week later we had an ultrasound and found out that we were having a boy. We went directly to our parentÂs to let them know.
After a smooth pregnancy, I had an easy labor and semi-difficult delivery (an hour and a half of pushing with a nurse getting on top of me to push him the rest of the way out) which produced a healthy, happy nine pound baby boy on June 29, 2001. We named him Michael Joseph Paternoster.

nd last name, knew his address, telephone number and birthday. It took him 5 minutes to learn his phone number and 2 hours to learn how to spell PATERNOSTER.
I donÂt know when it happened but Michael started calling me mom. HeÂs growing up too fast, I know itÂs cliché but he really is. He's tall and MICRO skinny.
In June of 2006 we found out that we we pregnant again. It came as a big surprise as we had stopped trying.
In July I had precancerous mole removed from my back. That would be my first surgery in my 35 years of life.
In September we found out that we were having a baby girl. With Michael, and my sister having two boys, she is first granddaughter on my side.
On February 5, 2007 a whole month and a day early Sophia Marie came into the world. She weighed 7 lbs 8.8 oz. Yes that's right. A 7 lb premie. Ouch! Cannot even immagine how big she would have been should she have been full term.
We had a few scares with her being jaundice with a very high bilirubin. Her Digestive system was premature so everything I ate gave her gas. She was cranky for the first 3 months of her life but now is the same happy-go-lucky baby her brother was at this age.
We are enjoying life so much right now with our perfect little family. With Michael in kindergarten full time and having an infant at home, my life is ever changing.
I look forward to hearing from you.
